S - S - Skeletons!

Hey guys! today we are going to learn about skeletons! I know some of you think that skeletons are scary, but they are not. skeletons hold our body in shape. Now, here are some facts about skeletons:

A skeleton is the hard structure that supports the body of a living thing. Skeletons can be inside the body or outside the body. There are many different skeletal types, but I will list 3 of them: the exoskeleton, which is the outer shell of an organism. Examples: snails, crabs, grasshoppers. the endoskeleton, which forms the support structure inside the body. Examples: Humans, tigers, rabbits.  And last, but not least, the hydroskeleton, a flexible skeleton supported by force. Examples: earthworms, jellyfish, starfish.

Vertebrates are more complex organisms when compared to invertebrates. The biggest difference between the two is that a vertebrate has a backbone and an internal skeleton. Examples: Humans, Birds, Dog, Dear, Bat. In some vertebrates, the bones are replaced with cartilage, as seen in sharks. An invertebrate is a cold-blooded animal with no backbone. Invertebrates can live on land like insects, spiders, and worms or in water. Marine invertebrates include crabs and lobsters, squids and clams, and coral.

So, that's it for this post.Oh, and check out the structure of our skeleton. see you next time. Byeeeeee!!!
