Magnets & Springs

Hmm.. no not this one hmm.. what about this.. Oh yes!!! Ahh!!! oh you guys scared me! I was Picking a book to read its about magnets and springs want to read? if you do continue reading..

Tradwell invented the first ever coiled spring. The spring is a elastic band that stores mechanical energy. Springs are made from a variety of elastic materials, the most common being spring steel. Small springs can be wound from pre-hardened stock, while larger ones are made from annealed steel and hardened after fabrication. Some non-ferrous metals are also used including phosphor bronze and titanium for parts requiring corrosion resistance and beryllium copper for springs carrying electrical current (because of its low electrical resistance). The first scientist (William gilbert)  actually made the first magnet In 1600. he discovered not only that the Earth itself was a magnet, but also that magnets could be forged out of iron and that their magnetic properties could be lost when that iron is heated. A coil spring may serve three basic purposes. It stores and releases energy, absorbs shock or maintains contact between two surfaces. The South Pole of one magnet will repel and push away the South Pole of another magnet.

Woah! That Is A Lot Of info! Byee!!!
